    DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Planning Minister Salman Jumaili on Thursday discussed with a Turkish delegation the signing of memorandums of understanding between the two countries to facilitate trade between the two countries.
    "Jumaili received at his office at the ministry's headquarters a delegation of Turkey, which included a number of general managers and representatives of some ministries, agencies and Turkish companies, as well as the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad Fatih Yildiz," said a planning statement received by Mawazine News.
    He pointed out that "the two sides stressed during the meeting to seek to develop and activate bilateral relations between the two countries by overcoming all obstacles to the development of those relations."
    "Among the participants in the Turkish delegation were the Director-General of the Quality Control Authority, the Director General of Food Control of the Turkish Ministry of Economy, the head of the Turkish Development Agency (TKA) office in Baghdad and others."
    The statement pointed out that "the meeting dealt with the memorandum of understanding to be signed between Iraq and Turkey in the field of standard specifications and inspections of goods and goods imported by the Iraqi side, as well as discuss another memorandum of understanding concerning the organization of the work of the Turkish Development Agency in Iraq."
    "The meeting dealt with the role of Turkish companies in the process of reconstruction of the liberated areas. The Minister of Planning welcomed Iraq with any effort or international support that contributes to the implementation of the reconstruction plan for the liberated areas," he said.
    For his part, the Turkish ambassador in Iraq, Fatih Yildiz, according to the statement of the Ministry of Planning, "the readiness of his government to convene a conference of businessmen and contractors and investors, Turks and Iraqis, aimed at joint coordination on the reconstruction and tasks that Turkish companies can do, noting that this conference, which will be adopted by the Turkish government can be established in Turkey during the month of August or September. "
