    [size=45]Today, Tuesday, the Kirkuk Chamber of Commerce is organizing the first economic gathering of Turkish merchants, investors and industrialists in Iraq, who demanded the urgent opening of Kirkuk airport and the lifting of visas between Iraq and Turkey. They also announced their intention to raise trade exchange between the two countries to 50 billion dollars per year.[/size]
    [size=45]The head of the Turkish Chambers of Commerce and Businessmen, Nawaf Qalang, told Al-Mada that "Turkish merchants came to Kirkuk because of its economic importance that contributes to the process of trade exchange between Iraq and Turkey," considering that "Kirkuk is a link between Turkey and Iraq."[/size]
    [size=45]Qalang called for "the necessity of opening Kirkuk International Airport because it will be a link for trade and an important economic gateway to Iraq," pointing out "the importance of lifting the visa between Turkey and Iraq because it will contribute to the recovery of commercial traffic." He stressed that "Turkish traders and investors contribute to supporting the Iraqi economy, and Kirkuk is an important industrial, oil and agricultural city in Iraq," explaining that "the volume of Turkish foreign trade with Iraq exceeded 20 billion dollars last year, and that Turkish businessmen aim to reach 50 billion dollars."[/size]
