The House voted in favor of the 2018 spending bill, which includes financial allocations for the construction of the proposed wall by US President Donald Trump along the country's border with Mexico.
On Thursday, 27 July, 235 members voted in favor of the bill, against 192 voted against.
The bill provides $ 1.6 billion to the Department of Homeland Security, along with appropriations to the Defense Ministry, for the construction of the $ 100 billion barrier on the border with Mexico.
The construction of the wall is expected to raise fierce opposition in the Senate by dissident Democrats as President Donald Trump goes ahead with his pledge to build the wall, which he says will stop the influx of Mexican immigrants from entering the United States illegally.
