Shafaq News / Independent High Commission for Human Rights expressed on Friday, its concern about the escalating violence in Iraqi cities, asserting that the rights of citizens cannot be achieved under such security conditions.

Seven provinces have witnessed security escalation represented by attacks carried out by suicide bombers with explosive belts and car bombs along with armed attacks targeting state institutions.

“The Commissioners Board is concerned from security breaches and the escalation of violence in the country under these conditions, so human rights cannot be achieved,” The member of the Board of Commissioners, Athmar al-Shatri told “Shafaq News “.
“The High Commissioner for Human Rights calls on the government to establish a program and put security plans to limit terrorist operations, as it began to threaten the safety of citizens and their right to live, all the progress aspects in the country are threatened in light of the current security situation,” she added.

Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki acknowledged yesterday that the security devices need cooperation from citizens regarding any news about "terrorists", and international and regional cooperation to provide expertise and information to arrest terrorist elements.
