The Ministry of Agriculture, on Tuesday, the exemption of peasants and farmers of its borrowers and the Agricultural Bank of debts discharged, indicating that the decision comes to relieve the burden of this segment and encourage the advancement of agricultural reality.

The Minister of Agriculture, Izz al-Din State, in a statement, received (range Press) a copy of it, "The Council of Ministers decided in its meeting held today, exemption of peasants and farmers of the Diwan implications discharged as a result of borrowing funds for the purchase of agricultural inputs, the companies and the Ministry Agriculture and the Agricultural Bank. "

The state added that "The decision comes in the framework of the government's support for peasants and farmers," noting that "the decision includes a wide range of that slide to alleviate the burden and encourage them to promote agricultural reality in the country."

The Ministry of Agriculture continues to lend to farmers and farmers through the agricultural initiative of the Iraqi government and for various purposes in order to develop the agricultural situation in Iraq.

Stated that the agricultural sector in Iraq suffers from a significant decline for years, because of the multiple wars during the previous period, and the deterioration of security, and to follow a policy of openness is studied on the import of agricultural products from abroad, as well as water scarcity as a result of the policy pursued by the neighboring countries (Turkey, Iran and Syria ) to reduce the flow of water sources that originate from its territory, or cut down.
