UNICEF: 23,000 newborn babies killed by Saudi aggression

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said 23,000 new Yemeni children were killed last year as a result of the Saudi aggression against Yemen.
"In 2016 Yemen lost 4,272 mothers and 23,000 newborns, for preventable reasons" as a result of the Saudi aggression on the country, the organization said in its social networking site Twitter.
"It has launched a new strategy for 'motherhood and newborn babies', with support from the United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization," she said, adding that "health care units will be provided to care for sick newborns so they can grow normally."
