    Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs, Stephen O'Brien, that more than 1,400 children have been killed in Yemen during the past two years since the escalation of the conflict there.
    Saudi Arabia began with its allies, on March 26, 2015, military operations in Yemen, intensive air raids, to support the government of President mouse Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
    The UN official, in his statement published on the occasion of the second anniversary of the escalation of the conflict in Yemen that "several thousand Yemeni civilians have been killed, including more than 1,400 girls and Afattaan..oashrat thousands of Yemenis have suffered."
    He stressed that two-thirds of Yemen's population, or about 19 million people in need of humanitarian assistance at the present time.
