Economist: the government will beat the citizens by the budget of 2018

    Baghdad / Al-Ghad Press:
The economic expert Hussein Al-Henin said on Monday that there is exaggeration by the government in estimating non-oil imports to the budget of 2018, while the government expected the harshness of the citizen to get the money by means of strike,
"There is an over-estimate of non-oil imports of about $ 11 billion, which makes us expect that the government will be trampled on taxes, levies, fees, etc. because there is no real industrial or agricultural class that pays taxes regularly," Henin told Al-Ghad Press.
"The government has cut the estimated deficit from 26 billion in 2017 to 11 in 2018, one third of which is to collect fees and taxes in compliance with the requirements of the International Monetary Fund."
"Many of the deficit figures were not real before 2014, but they became a real deficit after the significant drop in oil prices and the widespread spending in the war against terrorism as well as corruption and waste of public money," Henin said.
