A former senior adviser to President Bush has questioned the "mental powers" of President Donald Trump.

The British newspaper The Times, the headline of the front-page article, said: "A consultant for Trump is questioning his mental powers."

The article, written by Rees Blakeley of Washington and Catherine Phelps, the diplomatic correspondent for the paper, said the man who was the right hand of US President Donald Trump publicly questioned his mental powers and his ability to preside and predicted he would resign before his administration forced him to resign, Hide it.

Steve Bannon, a former strategic adviser to Strump, said he did not expect the use of Article 25 of the US Constitution to remove Trump, according to the book "Fire and Fury at the White House of Trump," written by Michael Fox.

Article 25 of the US Constitution provides in detail the protocol of dismissal of the President if the Vice-President and the majority of Ministers believe that he is "unable to perform his functions".

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said yesterday that any questioning of Trump's mental powers and competence was "disgraceful and ridiculous" and stressed that he was "a very strong leader."

Trump's lawyers sent a letter to Wolf in an attempt to prevent publication of the book, which is due to be released today, after they have already threatened to take legal action against Bannon.

Bannon's suspicions about Trump's mental health came after Trump blamed both sides for ethnic violence in the town of Charlottesville in August before trying to correct his attitude and blame the neo-Nazi demonstrators.

The newspaper adds that after that Trump returned to blame the two sides, in an angry speech, left many in his administration skeptical about his ability to perform his duties.

The paper also said that Bannon expressed doubt that Trump would complete his term and said the chance of his dismissal, resignation or survival was equal to 33.3 percent .
