The dollar is climbing from its lowest level in three and a half months
The dollar rose against a basket of major currencies on Monday as data showing a
slowdown in job growth in the United States had little impact on expectations of further interest rate increases in the United States.
The dollar index, which measures the strength of the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, rose 0.1 percent to 92,051, up from the lowest level since Sept. 20, which hit January 2 at 91,751.
The US currency began to decline after the dollar index lost 9.9 percent in 2017, its weakest performance since 2003.
