    [ltr]The United States Embassy in Baghdad announced on Saturday a visit to Washington by US Deputy Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to discuss increasing foreign investment and facilitating Iraq's reconstruction after 14 years of war and counter-terrorism.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The US delegation headed by John Sullivan, US Deputy Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, will lead a joint delegation of different agencies to participate in the High Coordination Committee; to strengthen our long-term partnership with Iraq and the Iraqi people," the embassy said in a statement received by Mawazine News.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The Deputy Minister intends to focus on expanding economic relations between the United States and Iraq and increasing foreign investment to facilitate the reconstruction of Iraq after 14 years of war and the fight against terrorism."[/ltr]
    [ltr]She added that "Sullivan will meet with senior Iraqi officials to discuss efforts to ensure defeat defeatist eternal and regional strategic priorities and progress in the Kurdistan region."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Washington ambassador to Baghdad, Douglas Silliman revealed the participation of 400 international companies in the conference and the desire of 100 American companies to enter and invest in Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"His country continues to support the efforts of the Iraqi government to provide stability to the displaced persons returning to their areas, especially in the city of Mosul, there are about 400 thousand displaced people still living in the camps."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"These people need to rehabilitate their homes and provide the basic necessities of life."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The United States supports the efforts of the Iraqi government to hold the parliamentary elections on time and support the Electoral Commission in performing its tasks to make these elections successful," he said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Iraq is counting on receiving huge financial support from the United States in the reconstruction of the provinces that were destroyed during the fighting between Iraqi forces and the organization of Dahesh.[/ltr]
