    Jubouri: The Council of Ministers concerned with setting a new date for local elections
    Speaker of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri said on Monday that the Council of Ministers is the party to set a new date for local elections, indicating the Council's readiness to draft a resolution on local elections.
    "The Council of Ministers is the authority to set a new date for local elections," Jubouri said in a statement.
    He added that "the House of Representatives role by sending a number of requests from the ladies and gentlemen to the Council of Ministers in this regard," announcing "the readiness of the Council to draft a resolution on local elections."
