Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Independent Electoral Commission announced on Thursday, the postponement of the electoral campaign for the candidates for the elections to the House of Representatives to April 14 next.
[ltr]"The date for the start of the election campaign was postponed from April 10 to 14," said Rizkar Haji, deputy head of the commission, in a press statement. "The postponement was due to technical reasons for the commission."
The Commission has set the tenth of next April as the date for the start of the campaign for the election of the Council of Representatives scheduled for 12 May next and the opening of polling stations in 19 countries to vote for Iraqis abroad.
The Independent High Electoral Commission issued a statement Thursday on the measures that will be taken in order to preserve the integrity of the elections and to guarantee the card to the real voter and to maintain and use it optimally by its actual owner.
