Romanian police on Thursday detained seven US servicemen for their rioting in Craiova.
"It became known that these soldiers had left the club drunk and were not paying the bill, "Digi24 said. When the club guards came and asked them to return and pay the bill, the drunken soldiers began beating the club's guards. "
Attempts by Romanian policemen who arrived at the scene did not help to calm the rioters, forcing them to arrest and transfer them to the police station. Five of them were fined for violating public order.
This was not the first incident by US military personnel. Last November, a US Marine at Japan's Okinawa Station was seriously drunk in a traffic accident in which a 60-year-old Japanese man was killed.
