Minister of Transport Kazem Al-Hamami stressed the necessity of facilitating trade exchange and passenger transport between Iraq and Jordan and enhancing cooperation and communication with all in the ports sector.
"The facilitation of trade exchange and the transfer of passengers between the two countries is important in enhancing the commercial and tourism reality, which will activate the other fields of bilateral cooperation," he said.
He added that "there are a number of understandings with the Jordanian side, including the transit of Iraqi trucks to Amman as well as Jordanian trucks to Iraq through the border port of Trebil, which will be a cycle of cooperation between the parties in various aspects."
He pointed out that: "There are several files have been discussed with the Jordanian side, especially with regard to the work of ports Aqaba and Iraqi ports and accept the roles required to establish a joint movement towards a renewed horizons between the two brotherly countries.
