    [ltr]The Iraqi Ministry of Oil and Sonatrach signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in the field of energy.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Algeria's Sonatrach has been able to share the power of the state energy company to develop the Nasiriyah oil field in Iraq with officials of the Iraqi Oil Ministry.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Sonatrach, in a statement according to Reuters, and interviewed by Mawazine News, that "the company's CEO Abdulmoumen Ould Kaddour, and Diaa Kammar Safar, director of the Technical Department of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, also discussed the possibility of Algeria's participation in projects aimed at linking the Iraqi cities to the gas network in the country".[/ltr]
    [ltr]The statement added that "the talks between the two sides focused on the possibility of the participation of Sonatrach in the development of oil field Nasiriyah."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The two sides discussed the possibility of Sunlagaz, a gas and electricity utility and Naftal, which specializes in the distribution of petroleum products, to expand the gas network to supply Iraqi cities with natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The two sides signed a "memorandum of understanding to strengthen partnership through the participation of Algerian expertise in exploration and transport through pipelines"[/ltr]
