(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Iraq and Algeria on Sunday stressed the strengthening of cooperation in the field of energy and oil and gas investments.
A statement by the Ministry of Oil, received by the agency {Euphrates News} copy of it today, "the Iraqi Oil Minister, Jabar Ali Allaibi met on Sunday, his Algerian counterpart Mustafa Qaituni."
Al-Luaibi said during the meeting that "the brotherly Algerian delegation will meet all officials of the national oil companies and the concerned departments in order to expand the circle of cooperation and partnership they seek."
He expressed his "hope to achieve concrete steps towards a partnership partnership with {Sonatrach}, which can benefit from its experience in the development of the gas industry and the optimal investment of this wealth, as well as other areas."
"The aim of his visit to Iraq is to hold talks with our brothers in Iraq to enhance and increase the volume of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of gas investment, oil exploration and others," he said.
He explained that "Sonatrach Algerian company has great experience to achieve common goals between brothers in Iraq and Algeria."
