    Direct: A recent report said that US President Donald Trump administration is considering imposing customs fees of up to 25% on car imports.
    The Wall Street Journal quoted sources familiar with the plan as saying on Wednesday that the US administration is considering a plan that would impose new tariffs on car imports in order to protect national security.
    The report said that President Donald Trump had already used a legal clause known as Article 232 to impose global tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum.
    The United States decided in March to impose tariffs of 25 percent on steel imports and 10 percent on aluminum imports.
    The report said that the US administration is currently considering starting an investigation on imports of cars under the same law, pointing out that the possibility of applying tariffs in the end.
