The Parliamentary Legal Committee confirmed the insistence of the Parliament on the obligation of the Electoral Commission to conduct counting and manual counting throughout Iraq.

A member of the committee, Salim Shawqi, said in a press statement: "The parliament is moving towards legislation to amend the election law, and includes paragraphs that require the Commission to conduct a count and manual sorting throughout Iraq."

Shawki said: "The first and second readings of the bill, which were completed did not need a quorum, the fact that the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives includes a quorum only in the voting session."

The member of the Legal Committee: "The President of the Republic is obliged to ratify the law after the adoption, and in the case of abstention from it will be ratified by two weeks after the rule of law."
