The Ministry of Planning announced on Sunday that the monthly inflation rate rose by 0.5% during the month of October compared to the month of September before, noting that the annual inflation rate during the month last rose by 1.1%, compared to the same month last year 2017.
"The rise in the food and non-alcoholic beverages sector by 3.5 percent, the health sector by 0.4 percent and the entertainment section by 1.1 percent," the ministry said in a statement received by Al-Iktissad News. The annual inflation rate of 1.1% was affected by the increase of the food and non-alcoholic beverages sector by 5.1%. Compared with the drop of housing by 2.7% as a result of the decrease of the index of the supply of water and electricity by 4.8% '.
He added that 'transport and health sections rose by 4.5% and 2.5%, respectively,' pointing out that 'other sections have seen a rise and the other decreased during the last 12 months, as the entertainment and culture section rose by 9.9% And hotels by 2.5% and the Department of home appliances and maintenance decreased by 1.6%. '.
Regarding inflation, Hindawi said that "the index rose during the month of October by 1.1%, compared to the month of October of the year 2017.
