    The deputy of the Fatah alliance Hassan Shaker Odeh, on Saturday, that Iraq must be cautious in its dealings with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    "Iraq must deal with suspicious and close to the Riyadh government so as not to fall into the traps of Saudi Arabia," he said in a statement to Al Ansar website. "The Kingdom must prove its good intentions in all its dealings with the country."
    "We do not want to fall into the same trap that many countries have signed," he said. "So far, Saudi Arabia has not shown its clear policy toward Iraq."
    The Wall Street Journal today revealed that the United States is encouraging Saudi Arabia to invest in southern Iraq in an attempt to keep Iraq out of Iran, while referring to Iraq's reluctance to accept a US project to build a floating natural gas facility.
    The Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Faleh met in Baghdad this month with his Iraqi counterpart to discuss the promotion of cooperation in the fields of energy and electricity. He also met with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to discuss the same topic.
