    Information / translation ...
revealed by Reuters agency in a report on Saturday that US President Donald Trump is considering the appointment of Democratic Senator James Webb, who served as US Navy commander in the era of former President Ronald Reagan 's defense minister instead of the Minister of the future of Defense James Mattis.
"The new candidate for the post of defense secretary is opposed to the invasion of Iraq and is currently a senator for Virginia," the report said. "Representatives of the administration, Vice President Mike Bens and Acting Chief of Staff Mick Milfani, contacted James Webb, While another confirmed that his name had been circulated in the White House. "
"Webb opposes both the endless conflict in the Middle East, the Iranian nuclear deal and the tightening of China, which he sees as the greatest threat to the United States at the moment, and Webb seems to have a good foreign policy commensurate with the new direction of the Trump administration," he said.
"James Webb served as assistant secretary of defense at the Reagan administration for three years before he was promoted as commander of the Navy in 1987 to leave office after one year as a result of protests against reductions in the US military."
