    said US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Thursday, said that "US President Donald Trump 's position is clear, and will execute the decision to withdraw troops from Syria, and there is no contradiction at all."
    "We support Egypt's efforts to get rid of terrorism in the Sinai," Pompeo told a joint news conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Choukri in Cairo, adding that his country will continue its efforts to help its allies as long as there is constant fighting against terrorism.
    Pompeo pointed out that the US administration is working to establish a coalition that includes the Gulf States, Egypt and Jordan, noting that "the Israeli national anthem played in the UAE, and quote here what was said a dream has been achieved." As he put it.
    He explained that he discussed with the Egyptian side "the need for an open dialogue with non-governmental organizations," in addition to discussing efforts to confront the Iranian regime and to confront "its activity in the field of terrorism."
    For his part, Egyptian Minister Shukri said that he discussed with Pompeo the attempts of regional countries to expand their influence by intervening in the internal affairs of countries. He pointed out that he assured the US Secretary of State of his country's appreciation of US aid to Egypt and the necessity of its continuation and increase.
    Shukri announced that a two-way meeting would be held between his country and the United States before the end of 2019, to discuss strategic cooperation and developments in the region.
    According to a statement to the Egyptian presidency, Pompeo met with Sisi, in the presence of Egyptian Foreign Minister and Egyptian intelligence chief. Sisi stressed that Egypt is keen to strengthen bilateral cooperation frameworks and deepen the strategic partnership between them.
    The Spokesman for the Presidency of the Egyptian Republic, Bassam Radi, said that the meeting focused on combating terrorism and extremist ideology. On all sides to support those efforts. "
