    (Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the draft law on Iraq's accession to the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue in the Sea "sar".
    A statement to the ministry, received the agency {Euphrates News}, "The Council of Ministers approved the draft law of Iraq's accession to the International Convention for Maritime Search and Rescue at sea {sar} 1979, which came into force on 22/6/1985. 
    "The agreement aims to improve national measures, procedures and arrangements for search and rescue operations and the occurrence of maritime accidents, and to develop plans to address such cases by searching for and retrieving the displaced persons and transferring them to a safe place."

    Transport Minister Abdullah Loibi announced on Tuesday the approval of the Council of Ministers on the draft law on Iraq's accession to the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue at Sea.

    "The Council of Ministers approved the draft law on Iraq's accession to the 1979 International Maritime Research and Rescue Convention (SAR), which entered into force on 22/6/1985," Luaibi said in a statement received by the agency All Iraq. 
    He explained that the agreement aims to improve national measures, procedures and arrangements related to search and rescue operations and the occurrence of maritime accidents, and to develop plans to address such cases by searching for and retrieving the injured persons and transferring them to a safe place.
