The strategic expert and confident al-Hashemi, that former Prime Minister [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/177/%D9%86%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D9%8A]Nuri al-Maliki[/url] is to give the legal attribute of the US presence in two bases in northern Iraq.
He said in a press statement that "the US military bases are the bases of Arbil and Qayara, while the rest of the bases, including military advisers under the command of Iraqi forces, especially in the bases of Habbaniyah and Ain Assad."
He added that "former Prime Minister [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/177/%D9%86%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D9%8A]Nuri al-Maliki[/url] is the one who signed the document of the US military presence through his foreign minister at the time Hoshyar Zebari."
"The US military presence is limited to consultation and logistical support and there is no health to deploy ground forces to certain areas without the knowledge of the Iraqi government.
