Link Iraqi border posts with INTERPOL[/rtl]

Baghdad: Al-Furat News} Iraq welcomed the willingness of the European side to implement a project linking the Iraqi border crossings with the International Police Network (INTERPOL).
"Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali al-Hakim met yesterday with the European Union's general coordinator for counterterrorism, Gilles de Cortov, on the sidelines of the fifth Arab-European ministerial meeting in Brussels," the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The meeting discussed cooperation in combating terrorism.
Al-Hakim expressed Iraq's welcome to any European efforts to help combat terrorism. He reiterated that restoring stability and building infrastructure will contribute to stability and eradicate the roots of terrorism.
He stressed the importance of cooperation between Iraq and the European Union in the field of documenting crimes against terrorism and the elimination of terrorism, as well as cooperation in the field of documenting evidence of trafficking in antiquities and financing of terrorist operations.
