Member of the Legal Committee: is in the process of approving the amendment of the Federal Court Law
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A member of the Legal Committee of Representatives Mohammed al-Ghazi, the passage of the House of Representatives to approve the amendment of the Federal Court Law during the sessions of the current legislative term, pointing to a dispute over the selection of judges of the Federal Court.
He said that "the political blocs represented in [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]the House of Representatives[/url] is determined to pass the Federal Court law in the new version with proposed amendments during the meetings of the current legislative term," noting that "the selection of members of the Federal Court by the parliament or [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2534/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B6%D8%A7%D8%A1]the Judicial Council[/url] is a subject of disagreement between these bodies."
He added that "the draft law prepared by the government proposes to determine the mandate of [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2988/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%A9]the Federal Court[/url] by 6 years, or 8 years or 12 years," noting that " [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]the House of Representatives[/url] will choose one of these proposals and will resolve this argument by voting."
The Presidency of the Council of Representatives postponed the first reading of the proposed amendment of [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2988/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%A9]the Federal Court[/url] Law No. (30) for the year 2005 to the twenty-third of the current month until the response of [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2534/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B6%D8%A7%D8%A1]the[/url] Supreme [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2534/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B6%D8%A7%D8%A1]Judicial[/url] Council on the parliamentary question of the opinion of the Judicial Council and their ownership of any proposals on the proposed law.
