    The Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced that it has obtained a decision from the Council of Ministers to stop the import of juices, refreshments and ice cream from June. 
    "The Council of Ministers took a decision during its regular session held today, Tuesday, to stop the import of juices and refreshments and ice cream through the activation of Article {60} of the General Budget Law for the current year, which provides for the prevention of the import of products of industries Food, beverages, dates, fruits and vegetables which have a similar local product covering the local market. "
    Al-Shammari said that "Minister Saleh Abdullah al-Jubouri said during a meeting with a number of industrialists from the owners of beverage factories, the impact of their demonstration on the ninth of April in Tahrir Square in Baghdad to demand the protection and support of the national industry support and serious support to the industrial sector both government and private and promised to deliver their claims to The Council of Ministers to obtain a government decision to activate the said article and provide protection and support necessary for the food industry, especially the manufacture of juices and refreshments. 
    Al-Jubouri stressed the commitment of the Ministry of Industry and its keenness to fulfill its responsibilities towards the public and private industrial sector and the effective presence in the meetings of the Economic Affairs Committee and the Council of Ministers to obtain courageous and supportive decisions for national production in the framework of the plans and programs adopted by the ministry according to the government curriculum to upgrade the Iraqi industrial sector.
