The sources said Thursday that elements of the Iraqi Hezbollah threatened the speaker of parliament, Mohammad Halbusi, killed a few days ago because of his position on the US-Iranian conflict.
"These elements were able to send the threat message, which bore the logo and seal of Hezbollah in Iraq, by intercepting the wheel of the Secretary of Halbusi in a street in the capital Baghdad and asked him to hand over the letter personally to the Speaker of the House of Representatives."
According to the details, "the person who intercepted the wheel of the Secretary of Halbusi known as Abu Haidar, a leader of Hezbollah in Iraq."
Earlier, Halabousi stressed Iraq's readiness to mediate to resolve the crisis between the United States and Iran.
Al-Halbusi said Baghdad was ready to mediate between Washington and Tehran, but neither side formally asked for it.
