Egypt is one of the most promising markets in Iraq and Kurdistan and is trying to promote its products

The Egyptian Export Development Authority (EDA) has organized three Egyptian international exhibitions in the Kurdistan Region (Iraq) and Hong Kong, covering the fields of leather, chemical industries and agricultural crops.
Exhibitions held in the Kurdistan Region (Iraq) included two exhibitions, the first Erbil International Exhibition for Leather and Leather Industries in the period from 4 to 7 September, with the participation of (19) Egyptian companies, and the second Erbil International Fair 5P for chemicals specialized in the field of chemicals, plastics, packaging, printing and packaging with the participation of 30 Egyptian companies 20 companies from the chemical industry sector and 10 companies from the printing and packaging sector.
The Egyptian pavilion was opened at the exhibitions by Ambassador Ahmed Haris, Egyptian Consul General in Erbil.
Ahmed Amin, Deputy Chairman of the Export Development Authority for Exhibitions and Promotion, explained that Erbil International Fair for Leather and Leather Industries represents many promising opportunities for Egyptian leather and leather industries to enter the Iraqi market which is one of the most promising markets in this field and to open new doors for export by highlighting Methods to facilitate trade and investment opportunities across all sectors related to leather industries in Iraq in general and the Kurdistan region in particular, where the exhibition attracts local and international companies to explore trade opportunities in diverse Iraqi markets and increase the Bilateral trade relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan region and neighboring countries in the region.
With regard to Erbil P5 Chemical Exhibition, Deputy Chairman of the Export Development and Promotion Agency said that the exhibition is characterized by being the largest and most comprehensive industrial exhibition in the Middle East region where the exhibition sectors cover all industrial aspects of the sectors of plastics, chemicals and petrochemicals, packaging, printing, products Kite through one event.
It also provides exceptional export opportunities by offering unlimited opportunities for exhibitors to offer the latest innovative industrial solutions and unconventional industrial ideas to serve the promising market in Erbil.
Amin pointed out that the Export Development Authority, in coordination with the Commercial Representation Office in Erbil, invited major importers to visit the Egyptian pavilion, in addition to preparing the representative office for marketing studies and lists of major importers in the Iraqi market with the Egyptian companies participating in the exhibition so that they can see the requirements of the Iraqi market and arrange for bilateral meetings. During the exhibition.
The Egyptian participation also included the Asia Fruit Logistica exhibition in Hong Kong from 4 to 6 September, which is the largest gathering of professionals and specialists in the field of agricultural crops in East Asia.
Hala Dakroury, Undersecretary at the Export Development Authority and director of the Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition, said that the Egyptian pavilion included 43 Egyptian agricultural companies including orange, strawberry, lemon, onion and potato products.
He pointed to the Authority to organize the Egyptian participation in the exhibition in coordination with the Export Council for Agricultural Crops and the German Chamber.
The wide Egyptian participation in this important exhibition comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the development of Egyptian exports.
It also reflects the Egyptian keenness to maintain a presence in the East Asian markets, especially China, and increase its exports of these products, where they enjoy competitive prices and conform to international specifications.
She pointed out that the exhibition offers promising opportunities for the entry of Egyptian agricultural crops to the Chinese market, which is one of the largest promising markets in this area and open new doors for export, pointing in this context to the Export Development Authority in coordination with the Commercial Representation Office in Beijing to invite major importers to visit the Egyptian pavilion Arrangements for holding bilateral meetings during the exhibition, as well as the commercial representation office to provide the necessary marketing studies in the field of agricultural crops, and provide all necessary information to exporters about the most important importers in China and the nature of Egyptian vegetables and fruits It is required to export to these markets.
More than 13,500 exhibitors from 46 countries and 100,000 participants attended the show this year.
