    Dear Sisters and brothers

I am delighted to welcome you at the beginning of the opening of the "technical barriers to trade", organized by the Arab Monetary Fund in cooperation with the World Trade Organization, in the hope that this session will contribute to the enrichment of your technical barriers that hinder global trade.

    Dear Sisters and brothers

The Arab Monetary Fund attaches great importance to capacity-building for Arabic in the trade. So many years have reached an understanding with the World Trade Organization to the Organization and holding of joint workshops and courses on topics of world trade. Indeed, during the past decade many activities to provide technical assistance and institutional building of Arabic to assist States to join the World Trade Organization, and take advantage of this membership. The implications of accession to the WTO is trade liberalization, which helps to increase trade and attract investments and the development of laws and legislation concerning trade between the States.

    Dear Sisters and brothers

The course aims to help States Arabic to enhance their knowledge of the principles and commitments of the Convention technical barriers. It will focus on transparency regarding this Convention and will brief the participants on the technical barriers of Convention Committee work and discussion. It also aims to encourage participants to exchange experiences regarding the challenges facing their countries in the implementation of the Convention on technical barriers.

As you know, require membership in the World Trade Organization to open markets and liberalize trade. This means the removal or reduction of tariffs and reduce trade protection and the removal of tariff and non-tariff restrictions, such as constraints and obstacles to investment and the development of markets. And the most open to international trade are often more competitive and higher rates of economic growth than States which place restrictions on international trade.

    Dear Sisters and brothers

The advantage of this course depends largely on your emphasis and interest in the topics and exchange views with distinguished experts who thank you for providing this material.

In conclusion, I would like to thank the WTO for its cooperation with us in the past years, hoping that this will continue for the benefit of our Arabic. I would also like to thank the experts of the organization headed by Mr. Samir Saif Al-yazal, I would like to thank you all and wish you success and a nice stay in Abu Dhabi.

And peace, mercy and blessings of God.

For Iraq to be WTO listed means, tariffs are in order, currency is globally traded and that, should mean a real value is established.
