    where Douglas Olivant, former director of Iraq at the US National Security Council, wrote,

    [size=45]Washington must make a strong statement in favor of democracy, civil society, accountability, and fighting corruption, while disrupting Iranian efforts in the region.[/size]
    [size=45]2: The government being protested is the product of the 2018 elections that brought the Sadrists and the Fatah party, backed by Iranian militias, to power.[/size]
    [size=45]3: The demonstrators belong to the majority Shiite Arab majority in the government, so the protests have no hint of sectarianism?[/size]
    [size=45]4: These protests are clearly against Iran's invasion of Iraq, and Iran has been a malicious party in Iraqi politics and actively encouraged imbalance and corruption, and all people know this.[/size]
