, former President of Integrity, Hassan al-Yasiri, on Saturday, about the constitutional steps resulting from the resignation of the Prime Minister.
Al-Yasiri said in a statement received by Mawazine News that "the resignation is effective from the date of its announcement, and does not depend on the approval of any party on the pieces and certainty."
He added, "The Prime Minister can only simply announce the resignation to arrange their effects; but the first deposited in writing to the House of Representatives."
"The entire government will be transformed into the caretaker government once the resignation is announced, and it will continue to run daily affairs and enjoy all security and service powers."
He pointed out that "must be assigned a new candidate for prime minister within a maximum period of thirty days from the date of the announcement of the resignation, and the House of Representatives should be in permanent session throughout the period struck to assign the new candidate."
He pointed out, "The House of Representatives and the President of the Republic continue to exercise their constitutional tasks, and does not require the holding of new legislative elections only if the Council dissolved itself constitutionally."
He pointed out that "the term of the new government resulting from the aforementioned constitutional procedures would be a continuation of the term of the resigned government, not a new term, and will end with the end of the term of the election session of the current parliament."
