The Parliamentary Education Committee announced that there are three proposals to solve the crisis of late working hours in the country's schools, which witnessed a strike and irregularity for more than two months.
Committee member Raad al-Maksousi said in a press statement: "The Education Committee met with the Technical Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education to discuss the proposal to cancel the half-year holiday and extend the official working hours by one month to complete the curriculum."
He added: "The ministry may resort to cancel the holiday on Saturday in the second half of the school year in case of insufficient time to complete the curriculum."
It is noteworthy that the schools of the capital Baghdad and the central and southern provinces have been on strike for more than two months in solidarity with the demonstrators and protesters to achieve their reform demands.
