      Baghdad: Sumer News, Deputy for the Alliance of Al-Fateh Hanin Al-Qaddu affirmed on Tuesday that the quick visit of Parliament Speaker Mohamed Al-Halbousi to Washington was a surprise to all and we did not know about it in advance, indicating that the visit was an American invitation to discuss the developments of the current situation. Al-Kiddo said in a press statement that "the visit of Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Al-Halbousi to Washington took place in an atmosphere of secrecy and we did not know about it until after he returned to Baghdad on Monday night," noting that "the visit surprised everyone." He added that "the circumstances that Iraq is going through are difficult and sensitive, and that the visit was not without discussing the future of the political process and the personality of the next prime minister," noting that "such visits will be subject to doubts among the political forces, especially if they were not aware of them in advance."[/size]

    The strategic expert, Wathiq Al Hashemi, confirmed on Tuesday that the visit of Speaker of Parliament Muhammad Al-Halbousi was private and not considered official at all, indicating that the visit did not last more than 24 hours and was completely confidential.
    Hashemi said in a statement to / information / that "the visit of Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Al-Halbousi if it is official, then the United States will announce it formally and will meet some leaders there, but the visit is secret and without a protocol indicating that it is private."
    He added, "The visit, according to the information, did not last more than 24 hours, and was completely confidential. The Presidency of the Council of Representatives needs to issue an urgent statement on the visit and its goals, as it is surprising, especially at the critical time for Iraq."
