    Alsumaria News -

There are many local “suspicions of corruption” within the Central Oil Company, but the story of the “transformation” of a volunteer policeman who was subjected to a reprimand in the Ministry of Electricity to the Assistant Director General of the Central Oil Company is the strangest. Its hero is Jassam Kazem Al-Saadi, and the Alsumaria report will detail his complete biography and documents. .

From time to time, cases emerge that warn of the existence of “suspicions of corruption” within the Central Oil Company, the most recent of which was the withdrawal of the hand of the director of the legal department “without any reason” and the dismissal of the director of the petroleum licensing contracts control department, until another story emerged, the hero of which was a “voluntary policeman” in the Ministry of Electricity and then “ Transferred to Assistant General Manager of Central Oil Company.

According to “leaked documents” obtained by “Al-Sumaria News”, it was found that the Assistant Director General of the Central Oil Company, Jassam Kazem Al-Saadi, was a volunteer policeman within the General Directorate for the Protection of the Electric Power System in 2003, and then, according to his job record, he was promoted to the first volunteer policeman. In 2005, he then became “Commissioner” within the same year according to the promotion he received.

In 2007, Jassam Al-Saadi was transferred to the General Directorate of Al-Rusafa Electricity Distribution. In the same year, Al-Saadi changed his job title to account for the “duration of the political separation” and became a technical director. After 4 years, he became responsible for the Quality Management Division in the Ministry of Electricity - General Directorate of Electricity Distribution in Al-Sadr. After another 4 years, specifically in the year 2015, he became responsible for the Programmed Maintenance Division (Banking Sector) in the Ministry of Electricity. One year later, his job title changed to Director of the Banking Sector at the Ministry of Electricity.

Also in 2016, his job title was changed (to recalculate the duration of the political dismissal) to Assistant Technical Director in the Ministry of Electricity, then he took another step in 2018 when he became “Assistant Chief Engineer” in the General Directorate of Electricity Distribution in Al-Sadr, then in the same year he became an official. Maintenance of banks in the same directorate.

In 2020, Al-Saadi assumed the duties of responsible for the Rashidiya sector in the General Directorate of Electricity Distribution in Al-Sadr. The turning point in Al-Saadi’s career came at the end of 2020 when he was relieved of responsibility for the Rashidiya sector and transferred to the Central Oil Company as “Assistant Chief Engineer.”

As for the year 2023, he was at the top of the pyramid in the suspicious “career progression”, as he was assigned the duties of the position of Assistant General Manager of the Central Oil Company, so this story raises many questions, the first of which is “How did he begin his career as a volunteer policeman and then end up as Assistant to the General Manager of an oil company?” the middle"?!.

This “suspicious” career path was not expected at this point. Rather, the “leaked” documents confirm that in 2017, when he was an assistant technical director within the Electricity Directorate, Al-Saadi was subjected to a “punishment of reprimand” for not handing over his position for 5 years, and that he also received sums of money. Fuel for the tire owed by another employee for a period of more than a year, as well as his directive not to return copper wires to the directorate’s stores.

After this record full of “changes and reprimands”, calls are being raised towards the regulatory authorities and the Integrity Commission to intervene and investigate this file.

On Sunday (January 28, 2024), Member of Parliament Alaa Al-Haidari revealed that there were “suspicions of corruption and tampering” in a tender for lining pipes for a tender at the Central Oil Company.
An informed source also revealed, on Monday (January 29, 2024), that the Central Oil Company is “pressuring” to pass corruption deals revealed by MP Alaa Al-Haidari, which include a tender for lining pipes for a tender in the Middle Oil Company, calling on the regulatory authorities to intervene.
