Member of the Committee Abbas Al-Zameli said, A contract with the Minister of Education Suha Al-Ali Beck and officials in the ministry in which the application of the law was discussed during this year to include students only, in an attempt to motivate them to continue to work and help the abstaining and the poor to complete their educational journey.
Al-Zameli added, “The committee confirmed its endeavor to include this grant of 30 thousand dinars for each student within the budget of 2020, provided that the grant is granted to the student exclusively and not to his parents to be an incentive for him to complete his studies”, pointing out that “the grant will stop or reach the student The number of his absence days is twenty-five days in the school year, or if he is dismissed from school.
Al-Zamili pointed out that "the Ministry of Education is obligated to adopt modern technologies to distribute this scholarship among students, such as according to the smart card," noting that "this grant will reduce the poverty line in Iraq to about three degrees from its average."
