Agriculture announces implementation of the farming plan for wheat and barley crops in Karbala

The Ministry of Agriculture announced, Sunday, the implementation of the farming plan for wheat and barley crops in the holy governorate of Karbala for the current agricultural season 2010-2020.
The ministry said in a statement, which received (information), a copy of it, that "the cultivation plan for wheat crop reached 84,550 dunums, of which 79,600 dunums were cultivated, while the cultivation plan for barley yield reached 4,850 dunums and 4,580 dunums of it were planted so far, as the percentage of cultivation of wheat crops reached And barley 94%, and work is still ongoing to implement the entire plan during the coming period after the completion of preparing all requirements by providing seeds, pesticides and fertilizers.
The statement added, "The plan for the current year witnessed a significant increase for this year that came after the Ministry of Agriculture supported farmers by distributing modern irrigation systems at a subsidized price of 50% and distributing dab fertilizers, urea, seeds and fumigation pesticides in order to eliminate diseases and preserve the crop."
