The Ministry of Agriculture announced, on Saturday, a plan to expand wheat cultivation for the next season to 16 million dunums after it was 12 million last season, stating that the total of government silos received from the wheat crop reached 4 million and 750 tons of wheat.
The ministry’s spokesman, Hamid Al-Nayef, told “Al-Maalouma” that “Silawat of the Ministry of Commerce received from the crop of last year until now about 304,000 tons of paddy, amid expectations that it will reach 400,000 tons.”
