A number of governorates in [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/465/%D8%A5%D9%82%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%85 %D9%83%D8%B1%D8%AF%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%A7%D9%86][size=13]the Kurdistan Region[/url] witnessed, since the days of scarcity in cooking gas, where the price of one cylinder reached about 18,000 Iraqi dinars, after it was 7500 dinars, according to the official price.
A spokesman for the regional government, Gutiar Adel, said in a statement that the high prices of cooking gas in the governorates of Arbil and Dohuk prevented influential people in Sulaimaniyah and the Karmyan administration from accessing this material through the use of weapons and intimidation.
Adel said, “The issue of transporting gas to the provinces of the region was a monopoly of the company [Dana Gas], and he was recently subjected to a tender for a company to win, and the winning company was scheduled to start its work early this year, but influential people within the borders of the Karmian and Sulaimaniya regions prevented it and used that As a pressure card in preventing the delivery of the necessary liquid oil material to Erbil and Dohuk, which led to high gas prices in the two governorates.
