Legal expert Ali al-Tamimi said: "The declaration of a state of emergency in the country is a representative decision at the request of the Presidents and the ministers for a period of 30 days."
Al-Tamimi said in a press statement: "The Public Health Law No. 89 of 1981 granted, in Articles 44 to 50 of it, broad powers for the Minister of Health in disease-affected areas."
He added: "The law also granted the minister the right to restrict the movement of wheels and access to cities, close shops and hand over buildings, transportation, animals and suspicious farms, and he may request the assistance of the security services."
Regarding the declaration of the state of emergency, the legal expert explained: "This is an important situation and will be by a decision of two-thirds of the parliament at the request of the prime ministers and the Republic for a period of 30 days, the cause of which will be determined.
