Postponing payment of housing fund loan installments for 3 months

The Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works directed two banks, Rikani, on Tuesday to postpone the payment of installments due to borrowers from the Ministry's Iraqi Housing Fund Department.
The ministry said in a statement seen by "Al-Iqtisad News" that "the minister instructed to postpone the fulfillment for a period of three months (March, April and May), provided that the delay does not result in any delay benefits for the purpose of relieving the financial burdens on the fund's borrowers under the circumstances that the country is going through."
The statement pointed out that "temporarily stopping the acceptance and promotion of new lending transactions, and only settling previously accepted transactions before this directive and according to the availability of cash liquidity at the Fund."
