Dhi Qar Oil: We are ready to operate the discontinued Gharf field if the Ministry agrees

Dhi Qar Oil Company announced, on Wednesday, its readiness to operate the now-suspended Garaf oil field in the event that the Ministry of Oil agreed.
The director of the company, Ali Khudair, told Al-Maalouma that "Dhi Qar Oil Company is ready to operate the discontinued Gharraf oil field in the event that the Ministry of Oil agrees to operate."
He added, "The Al-Gharaf field is a long-term contract between Petronas and Dhi Qar Oil Company. Because of the current conditions, the field operator has taken precautionary measures to extinguish the field."
He pointed out that “our company is in contact with the Ministry of Oil and has the technical and administrative capacity to manage the field and the decision remains for the Ministry of Oil according to the contracting mechanism.” End 25 p
