    Baghdad - IQ
The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed, on Friday (March 19, 2021), the "scenes" before the vote on the federal financial budget for the current year, while it clarified the position of the region's share, the popular crowd contracts, and electricity in it.
Committee member Muhammad al-Shabaki said, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency, followed by the IQ NEWS website  , that "meetings are still in force between the political blocs to reach an agreement on Article 11 of the Budget Law on the allocations of the Kurdistan region and the oil agreement with the region.
Al-Shbaki pointed out that "the Shiite blocs submitted a proposal that the regional government hand over 460 thousand barrels per day instead of the government text to deliver 250 thousand barrels."
He added, "There is an ongoing meeting between the Speaker of Parliament and the First Deputy with the leaders of the Shiite blocs to reach an agreement to resolve differences," explaining that "the Popular Mobilization contracts are included in the budget and electricity contracts."
He pointed out that "the paragraph victims of the phrase will be presented as a proposal to include it in the budget," pointing to "waiting for the end of the meeting of the Speaker with the Shiite blocs to hold another meeting with the House of Representatives to hold the session."
Earlier today, the second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Bashir Al-Haddad, stressed the need to pass the federal financial budget for the current year in accordance with the constitution, while the Parliamentary Finance Committee indicated that the voting session on the budget was postponed for "other hours", due to the MPs' demands for various amendments to it.
On Thursday, the House of Representatives scheduled a session for Friday, to vote on the 2021 Budget Law.
The Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Muhammad Al-Ghazi, said that the 2021 Budget Law will be passed by the House of Representatives in today's session, "regardless of any position."
