    {International: Al-Furat News} The Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture explained that the flag of the ousted Saddam regime was placed in an official meeting with the Iraqi side, held in Amman on Wednesday.

    In a statement, she said, "Information received about a protocol error occurred during the meeting held yesterday, Thursday, between the Jordanian Minister of Agriculture Khaled Al-Hanifat and his Iraqi counterpart, Muhammad Al-Khafaji, represented by the placement of the Iraqi flag, which was approved with the word" God is Great "in the green Kufic script and its three stars before removing it according to last changes".
    The ministry noted, through its media spokesperson, that "the mistake is unintended," stressing that "Jordan respects the options of the brotherly Iraqi people and supports them for the sake of a strong and prosperous Iraq."
    Earlier Friday, Agriculture Minister Muhammad al-Khafaji demanded that Jordan apologize for raising the flag of the ousted Saddam regime during the signing ceremony of a contract with his Jordanian counterpart in Amman.
    In a statement on Friday, Al-Khafaji said that he was surprised by the presence of the former Iraqi flag, prior to the conclusion of a contract with his Jordanian counterpart, Khaled Al-Hanifat (Wednesday).
    He added that he refused to sign (the contract), and stipulated that it be removed (the flag), and that the current Iraqi flag be placed in order to complete the signature, without additional explanations, "calling on the Jordanian side to submit an apology for what happened." And

    The font of the phrase "God is Great" was also changed, to later be written in Kufic script.
