Official in the US Congress: Dialogue with Iraq will lay the foundation for relations for four years

{Policy: Al Furat News} The Executive Director of the American Islamic Congress, Zainab Al-Swaij, revealed that the Iraqi-American strategic dialogue will lay a basis for relations for four years.

Al-Swaij told Al-Furat News that "the dialogue, which is the first for the new US government with Iraq, will establish a rule for the next four years, and along the same lines, Iraq and America will go on within the agreements that will be concluded."
And she added, "There are many hopes that Washington holds that are matched by a response from Iraq," adding that "the dialogue is likely to have good results, especially with regard to security and stability in the region and the fight against terrorism."
Zainab pointed to "a cultural and media openness between Baghdad and Washington within the ongoing dialogue, as well as investment and many programs that are hoped to be held inside Iraq in the future after the end of the dialogue."
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf announced, this afternoon, the launch of the third round of the Iraqi-American strategic dialogue through visual communication technology.
