Parliamentary energy clarifies about the proposal to increase the price of gasoline

Today, Friday, the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee confirmed that gasoline prices are fixed, indicating that there is no increase in gasoline prices.
Committee member Bahaa Al-Din Al-Nouri said in a press interview, "The committee contacted the Ministry of Oil and refused to increase the price of a liter of gasoline to 500 Iraqi dinars instead of 450 dinars," noting that "this proposal has not been agreed upon by the committee and the ministry."
He pointed out that "the tax on imported gasoline is present even in previous budgets," explaining that "this tax did not increase the price of gasoline by anything."
He added, "The increase in the price of a liter of gasoline was proposed by the Ministry of Oil and was rejected, stressing that" the price of gasoline will remain at its current price, and we do not allow it to increase if the gasoline is normal or improved. "
