Washington confirms its continuation of standing with the people of Kurdistan
On Wednesday, the US Consulate in Kurdistan Region recalled the Anfal crimes committed by the dictatorial regime against the Kurdish people.
In a statement PUKmedia obtained a copy of, the consulate said that it commemorates with great sadness the anniversary of the Anfal campaigns (in the Garmian regions, including Kalar and Chamchamal) committed by the dictatorial regime against the Kurdish people.
She added, that the horrific campaign has resulted in the death of thousands of innocent Kurdish men, women and children, and the wounding of many others, stressing that it will continue to stand with the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to ensure a safe, democratic and economically prosperous future for Iraq.
