    Mubasher: The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazimi, visited today, Wednesday, a number of sites of agricultural and animal production companies in Wasit Governorate, during which he was briefed on the progress of work in them, and urged workers to make maximum efforts to increase production and improve its quality, as he listened to Complaints and suggestions of those in charge .
    Al-Kazemi stressed, according to what was published by the Media Office of the Prime Minister through his official account on "Twitter", the importance of promoting the agricultural reality in Iraq, which has witnessed a significant decline during the past decades as a result of wars and conflicts, and also because of mismanagement, planning and the spread of corruption that prevented the sector from being. Agricultural tops the rest of the sectors after oil .
    Al-Kazemi explained that the government, within the framework of the long-term economic reform approach it has planned, has adopted support for the private sector and providing the requirements for its development. Due to its importance in revitalizing the economy and achieving sustainable development goals, by overcoming obstacles and providing the appropriate environment to attract local and foreign investment to work in all fields, especially in the agricultural sector .
    On the sidelines of his visit to the governorate, the Prime Minister was informed of the wheat harvest operations during his inspection of a farm in the city of Kut, Wasit Governorate.
    He stressed, during his meeting with a number of farmers, that the government is continuing to develop the agricultural sector and attract internal and external investments to this most important sector. In order to diversify Iraq's resources without relying solely on oil, as part of the long-term economic reform framework launched by this government .
    The Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to overcome all obstacles facing the governorate's farmers and support them with everything they need in order to increase the production of agricultural crops and diversify them to cover the needs of the market and achieve self-sufficiency for the citizen .
