Al-Kazemi comments on the crowd’s review: We have proven the logic of the state and law enforcement mechanisms

Yesterday, Tuesday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi commented on the review carried out by the armed factions last week and their encirclement of the Green Zone, saying: "There were those who tried to drag us into the unknown, but we proceeded from the principle of preserving the country's supreme interest ... and we established the logic of the state and law enforcement mechanisms." “.
This came during a speech by Al-Kazemi at the weekly session of the Iraqi Council of Ministers.
Al-Kazemi said, according to a statement by his media office, which Al-Mada received a copy of: “A difficult year has passed for the government’s life, during which many challenges were punctuated. We were able to cross some of them and we are working hard to overcome other challenges.”
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi took office on May 7, succeeding Adel Abdul-Mahdi, following the popular demonstrations that lasted for more than a year and left about 700 dead and thousands wounded.
He continued: “The past week has witnessed events that have been handled wisely. There were those who tried to drag us into the unknown, but we proceeded from the principle of preserving the supreme interest of the country, and concern for all our people. We have established the logic of the state and the mechanisms of law enforcement in accordance with the constitutional foundations.”
And last Wednesday, special security forces arrested the commander of “Anbar Operations” in the Popular Mobilization, Qassem Musleh, on charges of “terrorism,” which angered the leaders of the factions in the crowd.
Following the arrest, dozens of PMF military vehicles deployed in the Green Zone in central Baghdad, and surrounded several locations, including the residence of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to pressure for Musleh's release.
After these tensions, the Iraqi army deployed tanks and military vehicles in the streets of the capital, Baghdad, to prevent any forces from heading towards the heavily fortified Green Zone, in the center of the capital, before withdrawing it on Sunday, according to the directions of the Armed Forces Command.
Al-Kazemi went on to say: “The ministries must follow up the implementation of the decisions and directives that they issue, monitor those who obstruct those decisions, and go to the departments to follow up on their work,” stressing the necessity of “working with all seriousness to overcome obstacles in front of projects and a permanent search for solutions in order to establish a correct situation for the country.”
He added that the government "had the will to make decisions and had the courage and the will to reform and combat corruption, despite the lack of political support for it and also the lack of effective tools in the ministries that there must be work to develop."
The current government faces constant criticism from some political parties, while observers attribute this to the struggle that precedes the elections in order to win the votes of the voters, although Al-Kazemi repeatedly confirms his intention not to enter the electoral process.
